Limitations are the beginning of freedom

I was threatened at times , this subject: Why are limitations attractive?

I've got an idea for years of freedom that has to do with limitations of a general nature. In some form it determines my work in the vocational school.

Boundaries are the beginning of freedom.

If I let the sentence on humanity, I reap first abwinkende a gesture, a shake of the head, so somehow a ablehndende, negative gesture or remark. (But that sets up very quickly.)

Clear. Who does not dream of limitless and completely unaffected by the condition that we call life to float. I remember to have heard Reinhard Friedrich Michael Mey sing one day:

Above the clouds / need the freedom has no limits ...

That it also is not there, we now know. (If not, we ask the Federal Aviation Authority or by the air traffic control.)

Rules limit. Rules have a purpose. But who is familiar with the rules, they can break. That's where the freedom begins.

Without rules, no limits no freedom. Zubrechen a rule means to take a step over the boundary line beyond - and to do this on purpose. This is true almost everywhere, and almost everywhere makes the rules and limitations to be exceeded even make sense now and then. (If you're ready for, to live with the possible consequences.)

How to think of the rule of the golden section, the result of the viewing habits of people. For centuries, the golden ratio is also used in painting, but there are always examples gelungenne, which is broken intentionally so.

Not every rule is reasonable, and many belong to the test, whether they are still relevant - or whether they ever had a right to exist. But in principle, rules and limits are useful.

Limited image display area

596 times 125 pixels is the picture box in the header of this page ago. Since all sorts of considerations must be made before there can appear a table of contents. The limited display area makes the rules.

  1. If the picture at all, and in principle suitable to be used there? Vote format, design and detail?
  2. Does the image get a GO, the considerations are far from over: Which section of the image I choose? Where do I place the motive? Monochrome or color? What I present the motive?

This opens up some new perspectives in which they discovered new images. Of course, some of the favorite photos of this selection to fall victim, but to get some pictures of an opportunity that would otherwise have not had to ever be shown.

One example is "If radical" that I recorded years ago in the field of road in Hamburg. The upper and lower part of the original image, no relevant information can be found, but the graffiti is good in itself. And so it is nigh on pushed for the box.

Other examples are the Ladybug images. In the original images, the insects were mapped ridikulös small, you could have made almost a picture puzzle of it. (This happens when the photographer has left his close-up lenses at home. * DÖSPADDELIG *) But here, in the limited field, she came across well.

Internally, the display format "Rudi Resterampe" is called. A kind of hopeless for recycling images that get a second chance here - and know how to use with appropriate planning also good.

And because of this different kind of Beschäaftigung with photos, because this unusual considerations, I love limitations.

I close the entry with the picture that gave me a whole new person, almost unsettling perspective of one of my favorite pictures of my sons possible. In the original faces are both almost entirely in the photo, the sharpness of the course is like in this picture. But when I had to decide what section should I choose, my family decided that should be visible from any one eye. So I rotated the image a bit, set the cut accordingly, and the result I find myself always amazing.
