Last night I analyzed the statistics (this can be finally cleared me, as I promised in the privacy policy for this blog). Somewhat startled, I have to say that the majority of readers via Microsoft's Internet Explorer comes in - and unfortunately not all look the way I was thinking it. There are just little things, the overall layout of the page goes so far in order. Still, I think it's still annoying to have to tinker a little stick for each piece of wood.

Thought of the head region is as it is for Firefox:

Post-Header in Firefox

Post-headers in Firefox

The Internet Explorer, at least to me, the most recent version shows, the story unfortunately so on (unwanted deviations are indicated):

Post-Header im IE 7

Post header in IE 7

In the navigation box below the article in the single view, there is also a mistake. So it has been programmed:

Post-Box in Firefox

Post box in Firefox

So it shows the Internet Explorer of the leading OS:

Post-Box in Firefox

PO Box in IE

Not dramatic, because there are very different disasters, thus annoying.

Addendum: Since March 19, 2009, the brand-new Internet Explorer 8 available. Of course, I immediately installed it, then he should be much safer and more compatible than its predecessors. Indeed, the previously displaced header display is now correct, but the extra point remains in the box.

My favorite browser ... Firefox is. Currently I am using Mozilla Firefox 3.0.7. Both from a security perspective as well as on the compatibility ago, this browser for Windows users first Choice. At least he should and could be! formed is certainly optimized for the blog with Firefox.

The user can see but the apparently quite different. The IE Explorer 6 leads the list of browsers to clear: Almost half of all users use the Redmonter colleague who is better in principle but with each release, but still has some significant weaknesses and vulnerabilities. Firefox 3 is indeed at least on the 2nd Place, but has a significant distance (about 1/4 of the inclined readers use Firefox. Then follow IE Explorer 7, Firefox 2 and Safari, the Apple browser. 6th place in the IE Explorer occupies 5, followed by Opera. All other Brwoser settle listed as "also rans" to.

The operating system is Windows XP, clear the nose in front, almost three quarters of all computers that come here angetöffelt. The other positions are filled by a large margin Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2003, Vista and Mac OS X only then

Visitor numbers could be better, sure, but the daily page views are in the 3-digit range, which for a blog, which has only existed for just over two months is not so terribly bad.

The vast majority of patrols (Spiders) from Google sends the way, followed at some distance from Yahoo!, WordPress, SnapBot, Java and MSN.

What I learn from this? In any case, it is still not spared me, to test the implementation of new code in Internet Explorer, because not to deliver an all-too hideous appearance . As long as no functioning Mac is in this, our halls, I test about 10 meters distance from here, with friends over the Fleet, the display of the network performance at the Safari browser.

For those who do not already know: Firefox is free, open source, with numerous plug-ins to customize and wonderful here as a download available. (Fa firefox-wordmark-horizontal lls should be the reason why so many come with Windows angeschippert: Free yourselves, oh your surfers! Nutztet the opportunity and makes your thinking about radically. Will in future use the fire fox!)

And the most favorite item? Here are the Top 6 (behind the star indicates that the surface of the visitors most frequently selected posts in the list of my personal favorites):
