Recently I wrote about the drug use in the United States. Now comes this card , presented by Nationalgeograf. Which region is most happy, where dark clouds dwell in your head?

The map shows the percentage of residents who have felt the last time "frequent mental distress" (FMD) - frequent mental suffering with stress, depression and emotional problems.

Since this was a telephone survey, the team was the "Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)" depend on the honesty of respondents. The darker the spots on the map, the more depressed the mood. It is striking that the JW Bush home state of Texas is presenting apparently without emotion - perhaps remember the cowboys and girls not much, or it's all the same to them.

My advice: Stay away from the Mississippi Valley and the Appalachians away.

Interesting now would be a meta-analysis: Where are what drugs taken, and wiie drug use correlated with the mental status?
